I love this place. I was having my doubts when I went but everything was amazing. There was also bread that came from the start, and it was absolutely AWESOME. Loved it. I ate it with some mezzes. Out of the 5 mezzes, my favorite was tzatziki. I didn’t like 2 of the mezzes, but that wasn’t because they were bad. It was just by opinion. Then, we ate some Lavraki and I absolutely loved it. We also ate Kadayif for dessert and it was good. The service was really nice, with everyone kind. Fried Kalamari was also great. Would recommend.
Stamna Taverna is a great restaurant for an everyday meal or a big celebration. The interior is decorated well and looks very new and clean. The vibe is warm and family oriented. We went for lunch and split a bunch of appetizers among the 5 of us which was a great way to try lots of dishes. We visited Greece last summer and have found this restaurant to be the closest approximation in terms of flavor and quality. Prices are as expected for NJ and it’s nice that it’s BYOB. Desserts were also lovely - get the baklava if you are a cinnamon lover.
One of my favorite restaurants in NJ. This place is a true cut above, with high quality and consistency maintained throughout and not a bad dish on the menu! Even the olive oil-soaked bread that they give free for the table is outstanding. Terrific menu for vegetarians. All the salads are amazing, and for an extra visual treat get the saganaki "flaming cheese" which will especially delight kids.

Great spacious place with outdoor seating available, Endri was my server. He was polite, but didn’t hear/remember that I asked for salmon with my salad. There’s parking in the back & they don’t serve alcohol. Nice family friendly restaurant. Good for meetings and conversations. The coffee is good too!
Grilled octopus was fabulous, and nice change from the calarmi, which is a favorite. Swordfish special was one of the best I ever had, moist and tasty, not overseasoned. Add to your list.

The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely divine! We started with the Avgolemono Soup, a classic Greek Lemon Chicken Soup that was simply exquisite. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was the perfect comfort food. For our main course, we opted for the Chicken Souvlaki Platter, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the accompanying sides were delicious. To top it all off, the portions were incredibly generous, leaving us completely satisfied. And let's not forget the dessert! Stamna offers a fantastic selection of traditional Greek desserts, including Kourabiedes cookies, a delightful Christmas treat. Overall, our experience at Stamna Taverna was exceptional. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic Greek dining experience with delicious food, attentive service, and a warm and inviting ambiance.
